According to EnerMech, the contracts are secured with two tier-one clients, which are supporting the same multinational operator’s developments in the region.

The first scope of work concerns pre-commissioning operations at a depth of 1,300 meters in deep water, while the second scope of work takes place in shallow waters.

EnerMech’s team will perform specialized services for both clients, including flooding, cleaning, gauging, testing, dewatering, and nitrogen packing of subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines.

“Asia is a key geography for the business as it has significant offshore oil and gas reserves that continue to attract investment. These two new contracts align with our strategic vision to expand our pipeline and subsea capabilities in the region to support the current sector’s needs and the anticipated larger projects on the horizon,” said Charles “Chuck” Davison, CEO of EnerMech.

“EnerMech is in a strong position to win further subsea pipelines and umbilicals pre-commissioning projects as we have many years of expertise delivering similar project solutions around the world. This allows our teams to leverage the knowledge, experience and lessons learnt with the skills required to deliver exceptional value add and efficiencies and results for our clients every time.”

In July 2023, Enermech secured a five-year contract to provide its offshore crane operation and maintenance services in Malaysia, expected to spur a further headcount increase.
