Énergie de la Lune president to chair SER marine renewables committee

Marc Lafosse, the president of French company Énergie de la Lune has been appointed as the chairman of the Marine Renewables Committee at the French renewable energy association SER (Syndicat des Énergies Renouvelables).

The committee brings together 110 members, from the largest energy companies to SMEs, startups, research institutions, clusters and research laboratories.

Lafosse said that he saw the diversity of the entities represented in the committee as its strength and that he hoped the committee will expand while continuing to associate economic agencies, large groups, research bodies, and small businesses.

Énergie de la Lune is an engineering company specializing in marine renewable energy and ocean engineering. The company is operating the SEENEOH tidal testing site on the Garonne river in Bordeaux.

The site comprises three test berths, located at depths greater than 8m, and designed to accommodate tidal devices with mounted or floating fixation type.
