EnBW picks inspection team for German offshore wind farms

EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG has selected the winners of the framework contracts for periodic inspections and tests at the company’s four offshore wind farms in the German North Sea and the Baltic Sea.

The tender for technical inspection and testing services is divided into two lots and it covers the Baltic 1Baltic 2Hohe See, and Albatros offshore wind farms.

Lot 1 contract, awarded to Deutsche WindGuard GmbH, covers complete above-water inspections at the locations of the wind turbines and the transformer stations.

Lot 2 covers annual, recurring, underwater tests at the locations of the wind turbines and transformer stations, including the inspection of the steel structures, scraps, and cable coverage tests. This lot has been awarded to RS Diving Contractor GmbH.

In the tender notice issued in August 2019, EnBW said that the contracts would start on 1 January 2020 and have a five-year duration with options for two one-year extensions.
