Norwegian seismic survey player Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) has entered into an agreement for a fully pre-funded multi-client 3D CSEM survey in the Norwegian Barents Sea.

EMGS said on Thursday that the contract has a value of $1.25 million and the survey is expected to be executed in the second quarter of 2019.

The company will mobilize the Atlantic Guardian vessel for the survey.

In related news, EMGS in late April received a letter of award for a contract worth up to $73.3 million, following the previously announced participation in a sole-sourced tender a multi-year acquisition contract. EMGS will use the Atlantic Guardian vessel for this project as well.

Earlier in April, EMGS mobilized the Atlantic Guardian for a survey in the Barents Sea for Spirit Energy and its partners in license PL1031. The survey was expected to be competed within the second quarter of the year.
