The company completed various stages of certification by the KGS, concluding the process with an audit of the design, production and testing methods of its stacks.

The certification is valid for a period of three years, and according to Elogen, attests to the compliance of the products with the safety and quality standards set by the KGS.

“This recognition also paves the way for the continued commercial deployment of Elogen in the Korean market,” the company added.

To note, the certification follows the contract signed with its Korean partner Valmax in 2023 for the design and manufacturing of a proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer with a power of 2.5 MW.

The electrolyzer, with a production capacity of up to 1 ton of hydrogen per day, will be part of a mobility project located in Buan, in the province of North Jeolla, South Korea, GTT reported at the time.
