Elengy puts Fos Cavaou LNG terminal capacity on offer

French LNG terminal operator Elengy said its unit, Fosmax LNG has launched a call for capacity subscriptions at the Fos Cavaou LNG terminal.

The call was initiated in response to market signals collected in recent months and provides additional capacity ba technical debottlenecking, Elengy said in its statement.

The volumes offered are 1 Billion cubic meters per year, from January 1, 2021, until March 31, 2030. This comprises 10 GWh per year of already available primary capacity with an additional 3 TWh of new capacity.

This will bring Fos Cavaou LNG terminal’s total regasification capacity to 8.5 Bcm per year, or 100 TWh/year.

The call will consist of two phases, a non-binding call for interest, expected to last for two months and a binding open subscription period which is expected to last for two weeks in order to perform a market test based on binding commitments of the parties.

The non-binding period started on April 8 with the qualification deadline being May 29. The second phase, the binding open subscription period, will start on June 2, and close on June 16.
