DSME orders GTT tank design for new LNG carrier

South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) has ordered tank design from French LNG containment specialist GTT for a new LNG carrier.

DSME is building this new LNG carrier on behalf of an Asian ship-owner. The vessel will offer a capacity of 174,000 cubic metres.

Therefore, GTT will provide the vessel’s tank design and associated engineering services. The tanks will specifically feature the GTT NO96 GW membrane containment system, a technology developed by GTT.
