Dredging Work at Rosslyn Bay Harbor Begins

Business & Finance

Queensland Transport has started maintenance dredging operations on the Rosslyn Bay Harbor entrance and channels, according to the Keppel Bay Marina’s latest announcement.

The dredging program covers the entrance, navigation channels, access to Keppel Bay Marina and all areas around the public piles.

The offshore disposal works will take place within a 200 m diameter area located 1.1 km north east of the Rosslyn Bay Boat Harbor entry beacon.

The discharge consists of a floating pipe with 2 large orange floats and marked by a yellow buoy with yellow flashing light, the Marina stated.

This dredging scheme is expected to be completed in September 2016.

The harbor requires frequent maintenance dredging about every 3 to 5 years to maintain harbor access and internal public channels.
