Dolphin Geophysical Signs New 3D Seismic Contract in North West Africa

Business & Finance

Dolphin Geophysical has signed one out of potential three 3D contracts in Africa, as previously disclosed as upcoming work for Polar Duke.

If all contracts materialize in line with management expectation, the vessel will be occupied in Africa from December until April 2012.

Following a successful long season with high seismic demand in the Norwegian Barents Sea, Polar Duke ceased contract operations in early November, then performed various guarantee and yard work in Aberdeen.

Awaiting permitting in West Africa, the vessel is carrying out seismic acquisition and equipment testing in the vicinity of the UK Blakeney area, before departure estimated to be end of this week.
