DOF gets Statoil work for two PSVs

Norwegian oil company Statoil Petroleum has awarded DOF Rederi contracts for two platform suppliers, Skandi Mongstad and Skandi Flora, in Norway. 

DOF informed in an Oslo Stock Exchange filing on Wednesday that the contract period for both vessels are five years firm plus 5 x 1 yearly options.

The start date is early September 2017 for the Skandi Flora and October 2017 for the Skandi Mongstad, in direct continuation from the present contract.

The 2008-built Skandi Mongstad has been on charter to Statoil Petroleum since its delivery. It is of VS 495 DEM design and transports oilfield products and supplies to offshore drilling, as well as production facilities.

The 2009-built Skandi Flora is an Aker PSV 06 CD design PSV. Since its delivery, the vessel has been working on long term contract mainly in the North Sea.
