DOF said on Monday that its subsidiary DOF UK Limited had been awarded a deal for up to six months work for the Skandi Barra vessel.

According to the company, the contract was awarded by an undisclosed client, and the start of the deal is expected for late November 2019.

As for the vessel, the 2005-built Skandi Barra is an MT 6000 MK II design PSV. The vessel has mainly been working in the North Sea since it joined DOF’s fleet. It is 85.7 meters long, 19.7 meters wide, and can accommodate 24 people.

Last time Offshore Energy Today reported on the vessel was in July when the Skandi Barra was hired for drilling support by an unnamed client.

DOF also won multiple vessel contract awards with an unnamed “major key client” in the Mediterranean Sea. The company secured utilization of two large PSV pipe carriers and one high-specification AHTS for a minimum of 60 and 75 firm days respectively, plus options.

The company added that the vessels would mobilize from other regions within December 2019.

DOF CEO Mons S. Aase said: “DOF is delighted to further strengthen the relation with two of our key clients and to secure firm work during the winter season.”
