Disney Treasure was delivered on October 24, 2024, earlier than contractually agreed, according to Meyer Werft.

The ship featuring 1,240 cabins, a size of 144,000 GT, and a low-emission LNG propulsion, is scheduled to set sail with guests in December.

Disney Treasure is the second LNG-powered cruise ship built by the German shipyard for Disney Cruise Line.

Its sister ship, Disney Wish, was delivered in 2022, and the delivery of the third ship, Disney Destiny, is planned for 2025.

In August, Disney Cruise Line and Meyer Werft announced that the German shipyard will build four additional ships that will join Disney Cruise Line’s fleet between 2027 and 2031.

Oriental Land Company (OLC), a Japanese leisure and tourism company, also commissioned Meyer Werft to build a Disney Wish-class cruise ship for the Japanese market.

The newbuild is scheduled to be delivered in 2028, and OLC, which operates the Disney theme parks in Japan, is expected to commence operation of the ship by early 2029.
