DCN Diving Charters Another Solstad Vessel

DCN Diving, the Dutch subsea service specialist based in Bergen op Zoom, said it has expanded it cooperation with Solstad by chartering the vessel Normand Mermaid in support of its North Sea Dive/ROV campaigns.

Scopes lined-up currently include construction / installation, IMR and decommissioning.

Built by Ulstein in 2002, the Normand Mermaid is a 90-meter long light construction support vessel (LCSV). The vessel is equipped with a DP class 3 system, 100t crane capacity and 765m² deck, and can perform services such as general subsea construction, ROV intervention, and installation of smaller structures.

The vessel can accommodate 70 persons on board.

In addition to Normand Mermaid, DCN Diving has Solstad’s DP2 dive support vessel Normand Baltic for subsea duty offshore Middle East and Asia.
