David Cameron Visits ABP's Port of Hull

UK Prime Minister David Cameron and Secretary of State for Energy & Climate Change Ed Davey visited Associated British Ports’ (ABP) Port of Hull to welcome the announcement that Siemens will invest £160 million in wind turbine production and installation facilities on a 54ha site at Alexandra Dock.

It was also announced that the energy firm would be building a rotor blade manufacturing facility on land owned by ABP in the village of Paull in the East Riding.

Along with the £160 million being invested by Siemens, ABP will also invest £150 million in the project, making an overall investment of more than £300 million in a city that is still celebrating after being named UK City of Culture 2017.
