CWind Moving House

Business & Finance

The UK-based CWind is relocating its headquarters to Grimsby with effect from 1 July.

The company, part of the Global Marine Group (GMG), has also announced the restructuring of the business.

The decision is said to have been made to position the UK company closer to customers and to refocus on key service areas.

At the beginning of the year, CWind signed a collaboration agreement with Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult to focus on offshore renewables in the UK.

The parties will focus on delivering applied research projects and accelerating technology development, aimed at improving health and safety, the operational performance of offshore renewable assets, as well as reducing risk and cost.

The company also recently implemented the CrewSmart management support system across its fleet of 21 crew transfer vessels (CTVs) and a team of offshore wind technicians.
