Dutch Cryonorm Systems received an order to supply the LNG fuel system for the third LNG-fueled cement carrier for Sweden-based Erik Thun.

This ship will be a sister ship of the Greenland and Ireland which both are currently sailing with a 130 cubic meter Cryonorm LNG fuel system onboard, Cryonorm said in a statement.

The new order consists of a turnkey supply of marine LNG fuel system with a 200 cubic meters type C tank installed inside the bow of the vessel hull.

Ferus Smit and Cryonorm Systems reached an agreement in early March to partner on the project.

The Dutch shipbuilder, Ferus Smit delivered the first two LNG-fueled cement carriers, Greenland and Ireland, in 2015 and 2016, respectively, to JT cement, a joint venture between Erik Thun and KG Jebsen Cement from Norway.

Delivery of the third vessel is scheduled for mid-2019, Cryonorm’s statement reads.
