Croatia - Viktor Lenac to Build New Platform for INAgip JV

Viktor Lenac has won a contract for a new platform for IKA SW gas field in the Northern Adriatic.

INAgip, a joint venture between Croatia’s oil company INA and Italy’s Eni, has just ordered an offshore production platform from Rosetti Marino. A significant portion of the construction works will be undertaken at Viktor Lenac shipyard which is a subcontractor of Italy’s Rosetti Marino. Under a joint venture between Viktor Lenac and Rosetti Marino, the yard has carried out the construction of 13 such gas platform since 1997, the two latest units Annamaria A and Izabela North delivered in 2009.

Construction of the platform is scheduled to begin in mid-2013 and it is expected to take 20 months. Once delivered, the offshore production platform will be deployed at the IKA South West natural gas field in the Croatian sector of the Adriatic Sea. The joint venture also has option to order a second platform. Construction of the second platform depends on the results of new exploration wells that will be drilled in the meantime by INAgip.
