Craig International said that it would provide third-party procurement services on six BP-operated assets in the North Sea including the Clair Ridge, Andrew, and ETAP platforms.

The company added that the contract with BP, worth around £20 million ($26.2 M), was for three years with a two-year extension option.

A dedicated team in Aberdeen will work on the BP contract which created two new positions and safeguards several existing roles.

Jill Macdonald, joint managing director of Craig International, said: “We have worked with BP since 2013 and this latest contract is a testament to our investment in those processes and our skilled procurement personnel globally who continue to add value at every point of the supply chain process for our clients.”

Meanwhile, Craig International’s North American operations experienced growth in the last year, recording a turnover of $49 million.

The company increased its headcount by 20% and currently employs 20 experienced personnel in its Houston office. The team in Houston is working with several oil and gas operators on both upstream and downstream projects in Canada, the Gulf of Mexico, and the U.S. domestic market.

“Our Houston premises opened in 2005 and we’ve seen steady, year-on-year growth. However, this has accelerated in the last three years as the need for efficiencies has driven demand for out-sourced procurement services,” Macdonald added.

It is worth reminding that Craig International also secured a contract with Spirit Energy last week, potentially worth £21 million ($27.4 M) over seven years to source and supply products for maintenance, repair and operations at Spirit Energy’s onshore and offshore sites in the UK.
