CIC Lixin Shipyard Completes Repair Works for Vessel Koeta Ahead of Schedule

The vessel “Koeta” departed from CIC Lixin Shipyard 2 days ahead of the original schedule. The main repair work for the subject vessel including: main engine maintenance, generators chemical clean, engine room valves repair and pipes renew, hull sand blasting and painting.

The vessel arrived at the shipyard on the 2nd of December, and the contracting working period was 12 days. Since the superintendent emphasized a lot on the working period not exceeding the fixed working period, the shipyard spared no efforts and assigned the high efficiency repair team to accomplish the repair project. Through the repair duration, the ship side and yard side cooperated closely. Despite the fact that there were continuously rainy days, the two sides worked relentlessly and ensured all the works completed with high quality.

For decades, CIC Lixin shipyard has been repairing and converting large cargo ships, oil tankers, passenger ships, refer carrier, harbor launch as well as variety of multi-purpose vessels for foreign and local shipping companies. The Shipyard owns three branches. They are located in Pudong’s Sanlin, Donggou and Gaoqiao districts, equipped with “CS Huangshan” floating dock with 13,000t lifting capacity; ”CS Huashan” floating dock with 9,000t lifting capacity, ” CS Pudong” floating dock with 22,000t lifting capacity. The shipyard can repair 18 vessels of Handymax and Panamax types at the same time, which can give more options to the ship owners.
