Chevron Signs Professional Development Deal with Engineers Australia

Chevron Australia’s professional development of new engineering graduates is to get a boost following the signing of a Professional Development Program (PDP) with Engineers Australia.

Chevron Australia is partnering with Engineers Australia to help young engineers get the best training possible as they begin their careers in Australia’s exciting energy industry.

Chevron Australia managing director Roy Krzywosinski said the program would assist the energy industry to attract the best and brightest minds for the future.

“Investing in people, partnerships and technology will help position Perth as an intellectual and technological centre of excellence benefiting the Chevron-operated Gorgon and Wheatstone Projects and the broader energy industry in Australia.”

Chevron Australia general manager Human Resources Kaye Butler, said “We are pleased to partner with Engineers Australia, which is the national forum for the advancement of engineering and the professional development of engineers in Australia.”

“This program will allow our young engineers to develop the competencies of a mature engineering professional, in a structured and supported way,” Ms Butler said.

“This is important for individuals, the company and the profession.”

The PDP has a number of benefits for engineering graduates, including allowing them to accelerate their development to qualify as a Chartered Engineer. It also fosters a supportive learning environment and gives graduates an external benchmark for professional development and recognition.
