The renovation will complete a USD 200 million enhancement program and the 2000-built ship will be renamed Carnival Radiance.

The vessel will undergo a 38-day dry dock which will take place in Cadiz, Spain, from March 18 to April 26, 2020.

Homeport and itinerary details for the new Carnival Radiance will be announced in mid-November, according to the company.

Today’s announcement follows previously unveiled plans to transform Carnival Triumph into Carnival Sunrise next year, part of the company’s eight-year, USD 2 billion fleetwide modernization program.

Carnival launched its fleet enhancement program in 2011. Since then, it has completed refurbishments to more than 20 ships, taken delivery of three new ships and has three additional ships scheduled for delivery through 2022.
