Carl Sargeant confirmed as keynote speaker at Renewable Wales

The Minister for Natural Resources, Carl Sargeant, has been announced as the keynote speaker at Renewable Wales Conference and Exhibition 2015.

The Conference is organized by RenewableUK Cymru and sponsored by Welsh Government.

Renewable Wales conference will be held on May 21, 2015, in the Parc Thistle Hotel, Cardiff.

The programme for the event includes Wind and Tidal update session. One of the speakers at the session will be Tidal Lagoon Power’s CEO, Mark Shorrock, with the topic ‘The future of tidal range in Wales.’

Sessions on community energy, the impact of the General Election on UK energy policy, how the continuing process of devolution could affect the delivery of renewable energy in Wales are also part of the programme. The event will conclude with an Energy Question Time, sponsored by RWE Innogy UK Ltd.

David Clubb, Director of RenewableUK Cymru, said: “Coming so soon after the General Election, there has never been a better – or more important – time to discuss renewable energy in Wales, and Renewable Wales is a great opportunity to participate in the discussion.”
