Capital Product Partners Charters Out Two

Marshall Islands shipowner Capital Product Partners said it has secured time charter employment for the M/T Aias and M/T Arionas.

The 2008-built cruide oil carrier M/T Aias will be employed with Repsol Trading S.A. for three years at a gross daily rate of USD 26,500, the company detailed.

Previously the vessel was employed under a time charter to Capital Maritime & Trading Corp. (CMTC) at a gross rate of USD 24,000 per day.

The new charter will commence in February 2015 and marks the opening of a new time charter relationship for Capital with Repsol.

The 2006-built chemical/product tanker M/T Arionas entered into a new time charter with CMTC for fourteen months at a gross daily rate of USD 15,000.

The charter commenced in December 2014. Previously the vessel was employed under a time charter to CMTC at a gross rate of USD 14,250 per day.

As a result of the above employments, the company said that its total weighted average remaining charter duration is 8.3 years.

Capital Product Partners owns 30 vessels, including four Suezmax crude oil tankers, 18 modern Medium Range product tankers, seven Post Panamax container vessels and one Capesize bulk carrier.
