The vessels, named BW Pavilion Aranda (H2489) and BW Magnolia (H2490), were constructed by South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.

BW Pavilion Aranda will be delivered next week when it will go on a long-term charter to Singapore’s Pavilion Energy.

The second vessel, BW Magnolia, is scheduled to join its owner in December 2019, when it is to start a long-term charter to UK-based oil major BP.

Each featuring a capacity of 174,000 cbm, the carriers are the third and fourth in a current series of seven newbuildings.

BW LNG said that all of these units have the latest technical design “offering industry-leading transport efficiency through MEGI propulsion and state-of-the-art reliquefaction systems.”
