Brave Tern arrived in Esbjerg after completing a charter with Prysmian Group, the company said.

In March 2019, Siemens Gamesa awarded Fred. Olsen Windcarrier with a contract to transport and install 80 Siemens Gamesa 8.0-167 DD wind turbines on the Yunlin wind farm located some six kilometres off the southwest coast of Taiwan.

The installation will be split into two phases which will be carried out in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

After installing the Yunlin wind turbines, Brave Tern will start another project in Taiwan.

The jack-up will also transport and install the 62 MHI Vestas Offshore V174-9.5MW wind turbines on the Changfang and Xidao (CFXD) offshore wind farms.

Located some 11-25 kilometres west of Taiwan, the wind farms have a combined capacity of 589MW and are scheduled to be fully operational in 2023.

This installation project will also be divided into two phases across 2022 and 2023.
