Brave Tern departed the Port of Esbjerg in Denmark on Monday, 20 April, Fred. Olsen Windcarrier said.

The jack-up is heading to Taiwan to start the installation job on the 640 MW wind farm.

In March 2019, Siemens Gamesa awarded Fred. Olsen Windcarrier with a contract to transport and install 80 Siemens Gamesa 8.0-167 DD wind turbines on the Yunlin wind farm located some six kilometres off the southwest coast of Taiwan.

The installation will be split into two phases which will be carried out in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

After installing the Yunlin wind turbines, Brave Tern will start another project in Taiwan.

The jack-up will also transport and install the 62 MHI Vestas Offshore V174-9.5MW wind turbines on the Changfang and Xidao (CFXD) offshore wind farms.
