Bombora Wave Power has signed a Technology Evaluation Agreement with Anoa Power Indonesia.

Under the agreement Anoa Power will evaluate suitable deployment sites while Bombora will confirm electricity generation capability across these locations, Bombora’s press release reads.

The agreement represents a precursor to manufacturing and distribution arrangement for Bombora Wave Energy Converters into Indonesia.

Bombora’s wave energy system utilises a large membrane energy harvester to collect, concentrate and modulate the wave energy through the use of an air circuit.

The system has an onboard 1.5 MW air turbine that spins as wave passes over the system moving the air around the circuit and driving it through the turbine, which results in the generation of electricity.

Bombora Wave Power is a Perth-based wave energy developer aiming to commercialize its Bombora wave energy technology.
