Axxis hires one Havila platform supplier. Extends deal for another

Axxis Geo Solution has awarded a charter deal to Norwegian vessel owner Havila Shipping for the Havila Aurora PSV and a contract extension for the Havila Fortune platform supplier.

Havila Shipping said on Tuesday that the deal for the Havila Aurora was for a firm period of six months.

The company added that the contract of the Havila Aurora also had four optional periods of three months each with the vessel set to start work for Axxis in May 2019.

Apart from hiring the Havila Aurora, Axxis Geo Solutions also handed Havila a contract extension for the Havila Fortune PSV.

The initial contract for the Havila Fortune was awarded in late May 2018 with Axxis hiring the vessel for a firm six-month period with additional extension options following the expiration of the charter.

It is worth noting that the Havila Fortune had been taken out of layup to serve the contract which began in June 2018.

In mid-December 2018, Axxis exercised its first extension option for the Havila Fortune which meant the vessel would stay with the company until the end of June 2019.

This latest contract extension for the Havila Fortune ensures the PSV stays with Axxis for six months from June.

Just like for the Havila Aurora, the company also agreed four optional periods each of three months each for the Havila Fortune.
