The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters in Washington, D.C., recently selected St. Paul, Minn., resident and St. Paul District employee Alex Webb as a recipient of the Joseph W. Kimbel Award for Professional Potential.

Webb received this award for his work advising on sensitive and complex dredge material management plans on the Upper Mississippi River and ensuring legal compliance of civil works projects like the Souris River Basin flood protection plan.

Alex’s hard work, technical expertise and innovative thinking have been paramount in resolving complex legal problems for the St. Paul District to ensure the smooth and effective execution of Corps planning and project missions,” said John Carrell, district counsel and Webb’s supervisor.

Webb is assistant district counsel and has been with the St. Paul District since 2014. His role with the Corps involves advising on ethics, environmental law, contracting, civil works, and regulatory programs. “I am honored to have been recognized for my efforts,” Webb said.
