It shows a further commitment to our clients by delivering local service and that we are able to focus on local content with the current travel restrictions. The office, based in Taipei, enables us to offer a compliant payroll and employment solutions for locals as well as expatriates.”

The Atlas team is currently supporting several developers and contractors in the supply chain and expects that this will expand with the local set-up.

“Establishing local footprint around the world has always been especially important to us,” said Rondeel. “We’re looking forward to expand our support to the global and local supply chain in delivering successful projects in Taiwan, where offshore wind power is rightly regarded as an engine for energy and economic industry transformation.”

Rondeel also pointed out that the challenge in Taiwan lies in finding qualified and experienced professionals because of localisation requirements.

“Working in close collaboration with our clients, local education institutions and local government, we are eager to help preparing the workforce for future in Taiwan too,” said Rondeel.

“This development requires a more flexible outlook to human capital, focusing on not purely on knowledge and experience but also on behavioural competences as motivation, quality awareness and being pro-active.”
