Aqualis Offshore picks new manager for Qatar

Marine and offshore engineering consultancy Aqualis Offshore has appointed a new country manager in Qatar.

Aqualis said on Thursday that Mark McNeil Cassidy was selected for this position.

Mark McNeil Cassidy is a master mariner with 31 years of seagoing experience, 24 years of which have been in the offshore oil and gas industry and five years in shore-based consultancy.

He joins Aqualis Offshore from a role with Global Maritime in Egypt. He has previously held positions as a principal surveyor with DNV GL in Doha, Qatar, and was a master with Gulf Offshore North Sea Limited for nine years.

Cassidy will head up Aqualis’ office in Doha, reporting to regional director for the Middle East Ben Lazenby.

In recent company news, Aqualis completed the offshore installation engineering of an 1800T steel jacket structure offshore Bahrain as part of the Bahrain LNG Import Terminal.

The company delivered the project in cooperation with APMC, who were in charge of the transportation and installation contract on behalf of its EPC contractor client, GS E&C.
