APLNG set for July-September maintenance shutdowns

Australia Pacific LNG export project on Curtis Island near Gladstone is scheduled to undergo maintenance in separate windows from July to September. 

According to a notice by the Australian Energy Market Operator, the project will perform maintenance works on half of the train on July 17 to July 22, followed by two similar outages on August 21-26 and September 11-17.

The notice states that the shutdown will affect half of the train’s capacity, during each window.

APLNG is a joint venture between ConocoPhillips, the downstream operator, with a 37.5 percent stake, Origin which is the upstream operator with a 37.5 percent stake and Sinopec that holds a 25 percent share.

The two liquefaction trains at the facility have a total production capacity of 9.5 million tons of LNG per year.
