China’s Dalian Shipbuilding Industry (DSIC) hired GTT for the tank design of two new LNG vessels with a capacity of 175,000 m3, on behalf of Ocean Jade Investment.

According to the French player, these tanks will be fitted with its Mark III Flex membrane containment system. The vessels are scheduled to be delivered between the first and the second quarters of 2028.

The latest assignment comes on the heels of other contract awards for tank design, which GTT got in the LNG segment, including the one with South Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for a new floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) unit.

This followed closely behind the French firm’s two deals for tank designs related to an LNG carrier and a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU). The company also landed tank-design orders for ten very large LNG carriers and 15 new LNG carriers.
