Aker Solutions wins Trestakk topside FEED, tie-in to Åsgard A

Aker Solutions, a Norwegian oil services company, has won the topside Front end Engineering Design (FEED) contract for Statoil’s Trestakk field tie-in to the existing Åsgard A platform, in the Norwegian Sea, including an option for further EPCI work.

Aker Solutions says that the contract includes an option for further EPCI work.

Statoil has also awarded Aker Solutions a concept study for the Low Well Production project (LWP) on Åsgard A to accommodate for future production with lower well pressure. The contract includes further options for FEED and EPCI for the LWP project.

According to Aker Solutions, the FEED for Trestakk and the concept study for Åsgard LWP will start immediately and continue through the winter and spring.

The options for the continuing phases for both projects follow a schedule towards completed installation by 2019, the company concluded.

Trestakk is an oil field, operated by Statoil, in the Norwegian Sea in licence PL091, block 6406/3.

The field, discovered in 1986, is located approximately 27 km southeast of Åsgard A platform.
