AGS firms up North Sea contract with Equinor

Norwegian ocean bottom node seismic company Axxis Geo Solutions (AGS) has secured a contract with Equinor for OBN survey in the North Sea.

The deal follows a letter of intent signed with an undisclosed client in February this year.

According to the Oslo-listed firm, the survey should commence later in the second quarter of 2020.

The scope of work will include acquisition of 67 square kilometers of receiver area, comprising of approximately 30 days of operation.

Two seismic vessels will carry out the scope of work.

To remind, end-March this year AGS received a cancellation on a small contract also in the North Sea.

The contract was scheduled for execution in the second quarter 2020.

Also, the company recently wrapped up its ocean-bottom nodes (OBN) project in the Middle East.

The project delivery took place with strict adherence to COVID-19 safety guidelines.
