$500M in Navy work awarded at Pearl

Six companies, including three from Hawaii, will share in a $500 million Navy contract for work to be performed at Pearl Harbor over the next give years. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command announced Tuesday the award, which will be divided among Hawaiian Dredging Construction Co., Manson-Nan Joint Venture and Watts-Healy Tibbitts Joint Venture, all of Honolulu, as well as General Construction Co., of Poulsbo, Wash.; Triton Marine Construction Corp., of Bremerton, Wash.; and Nova Group, of Napa, Calif.
