OMI Q2 EPS Excl. Gain On Sale Of Vessels Rises On Revenue Growth, Beats Estimates

Tuesday, OMI Corp., international tanker owner and operator, reported second quarter earnings that soared from last year on gains from the disposal of vessels. Revenue increased 23% due to more operating days from vessels acquired and higher rates. Excluding the gain on sale of vessels, the earnings per share for the second quarter beat analysts’ estimates by 10 cents. After advancing 2.57% in the regular session on Tuesday, the stock jumped 3.46% in after-hours trading.
