Dutch Issue Offshore Wind Assessment Call

Authorities & Government

The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl) has released a call for an independent assessment of the wind resources at the Hollandse Kust (noord) wind farm zone.

The assessment is to be based on the best possible data sources, RVO.nl said.

The contractor shall analyse available offshore wind measurement sources as well as the most recent re-analysis and mesoscale datasets, validate different mesoscale models, and long-term correct the wind climate in the 700MW Hollandse Kust (noord).

The study will start in September 2018 and must be finished by the end of January 2019. The final delivery has to be certified by the certifying body DNV GL.

The call remains open until 27 June.

Located off the west coast of the Netherlands, the subsidy and permit tender for the two 350MW sites at the Hollandse Kust (noord) zone is scheduled for 2019.
