The company issued a notice on October 28 to all shipping agents, vessel owners, and operators of LNG-powered vessels transiting the Panama Canal or calling at ports on the Atlantic side of Panama.

As stated in the notice, the aim is to establish an early engagement with interested parties and open discussions with potential clients to reserve bunkering slots and negotiate contract terms and conditions, including service scope, operational details, supply logistics, and pricing.

The deadline to submit the EOI was set for November 15, 2024, and agreements between the parties are expected to be signed in January 2025.

LNG bunkering operations in Panama are scheduled to commence in March 2025.

To remind, Panam LNG Bunkering was established by AES Corporation and Seaspan Energy exclusively to provide LNG bunkering services in Panama.

As part of this initiative, Seaspan will deploy its newbuild 7,600 cubic-meter LNG bunkering vessel Seaspan Garibaldi.

Following the delivery, the vessel set sail to Vancouver to load its first cargo and finalize commissioning.
