Through acquiring WINDGLAS, DORIS’ scope of service that is to be offered to the offshore wind industry will expand to include expertise in areas such as load calculation and aerodynamic modeling.

Pierrick Sauvage, the Head of Offshore Design at DORIS, said that the acquisition came as a result of successful collaborations between DORIS and WINDGLAZ across pilot and commercial wind farms projects with high-power range turbines in South Korea.

“We are pleased to be presenting high-quality, integrated services to our international clients, combining DORIS’ high-quality and competitive design solutions with WINDGLAZ’s recognised skills in turbine modelling and coupled analysis,” stated Sauvage.

The partnership is expected to enable the companies to offer combined, integrated solutions to clients for the design, analysis, and installation of offshore wind systems.

Cyril Bourgoin, WINDGLAZ’s founder, said, “Our generic turbine models from 1 to 24 Megawatts, and our ability to quickly adapt to the specificities and modelling interfaces of each system and each project, are key assets to support our customers, from tender phases to detailed design.”

“We are glad to be joining the international DORIS Group and delivering integrated engineering offerings to our clients. Our positioning within DORIS will allow us to accelerate the development of our load calculation service, while guaranteeing the independence of our offer.”
