Since 2010 Bas has been involved in the construction of 11 Offshore Windfarms in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark. This while taking up his role as Business Unit Director Northern Europe in the DEME OFFSHORE TEAM, a world leader in solutions for the offshore energy market. ‘Offshore windfarm construction is Team sport’ for large and smart teams of professionals that deliver big and green results at sea. DEME Offshore is a company with (1) a large fleet of installation vessels, (2) smart professionals and (3) robust and innovative installation methods. With these capabilities, Bas continues to focus on the construction of future Offshore Wind Projects in Northern Europe. In the rapidly and worldwide expanding offshore wind market Bas sees many opportunities for innovation and growth for the whole sector. For example, a next generation of extra-extra-large Offshore Wind Components will require to be installed in an efficient and sustainable way while enhancing the marine ecosystem at the same time.
