Leask Marine Completes East Anglia One Task

Business & Finance

Leask Marine has completed a range of supporting activities for ABCO Marine at the East Anglia One offshore wind farm.

The UK-based company was in charge of laying concrete mattresses and placing rock bags on the seabed, as well as supporting the Fugro 1200 jack-up.

Leask Marine carried out these four-month marine operations with its vessel C-Fenna.

East Anglia One, owned by ScottishPower Renewables, will comprise 102 Siemens 7MW turbines located 59km from the coast of Lowestoft in the UK.

Van Oord began the installation of the jacket foundations at the project site in mid-June last year, shortly after which the offshore substation was installed.

The 714MW offshore wind farm is scheduled to come into operation in 2020.
