Peruvian liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in Pampa Melchorita shipped a cargo to South Korea.

Shipping data from the state-owned Perupetro shows that Methane Alison Victoria the 2007-built LNG carrier capable of transporting 145,000 cubic meters of the chilled gas, departed to South Korea on March 9.

The vessel has set course to South Korea, although the exact destination has not been revealed.

However, Perupetro’s data shows that the 135,072-cbm LNG carrier Gallina which departed on March 3, has changed course and is heading to Australia.

In total, the export plant shipped 447 cargoes since it started operations in June 2010.

The 4.45 million tons per year gas liquefaction plant is located 170 kilometers south of Lima and receives gas via a 408-kilometer pipeline built across the Andes.
