James Fisher Names New CEO

Human Capital

James Fisher and Sons has named Eoghan O’Lionaird as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective from 1 September.

O’Lionaird will take over the position on 1 October when Nick Henry, who has been CEO for the last fifteen years, will step down from the board.

Henry will remain with the company until 31 March 2020 to ensure a smooth and effective transition of responsibility, James Fisher said.

O’Lionaird has been Divisional CEO and member of the Executive Committee at his current company Spectris Plc, a provider of precision instrumentation and controls.

Before joining Spectris, O’Lionaird held senior management roles at Danaher Corporation and Royal Philips Electronics. At the beginning of his career, O’Lionaird held technical, marketing and management roles at the Japanese Mitsui Kinzoku.

“After a thorough search process, I am delighted that Eoghan O’Lionaird has agreed to join James Fisher as its new CEO,” said Malcolm Paul, Chairman of James Fisher.

“I am very pleased that we have been able to attract someone with his track record and I look forward to working with Eoghan and the Executive Team to continue to deliver the excellent growth potential inherent within our business.”
