Project & Tenders

The Singapore-headquartered marine, offshore supply and logistics player, Sinwa, has been awarded deals for vessels involved in Shell’s Prelude FLNG project off the coast of Western Australia.

The contract totaling A$8 million (US$5.98 million) is the largest single project the company has ever secured in Western Australia and Northern Terithory.

The Prelude FLNG project will be located in the Browse Basin, approximately 475 km northeast of Broome and over 200 km off the coast of Western Australia.

The group will be servicing its clients’ requirements through its Darwin Facility which is equipped with complete warehousing facilities including freezer, chiller, provision and general storages, as well as lay down and hard stand areas.

Sinwa expects the commencement of the supply deal in August 2017.

With 488m in length and 74m in width, Shell’s Prelude FLNG, currently under construction at SHI’s Geoje shipyard, is the largest facility of its kind.

Once completed the FLNG facility will be towed to the Prelude gas field offshore Western Australia.

It is expected to stay moored at the Prelude gas field for 25 years and is expected to produce 3.6 mtpa of LNG, 1.3 mtpa of condensate and 0.4 mtpa of LPG for export.
