Peru ships cargo to France

Peru’s only liquefaction and export facility at Pampa Melchorita recently dispatched a cargo of LNG to France.

According to the shipping data from state-owned Perupetro, the facility dispatched a cargo on July 14 aboard the 145,000 cbm Methane Rita Andrea.

This is only the second cargo to be sent from Peru to France in 2016 and sixth in total since the facility started up.

Perupetro has not revealed the exact destination of the carrier, however, the previous five cargoes have all been delivered to the Fos Cavaou LNG terminal, which could be the most likely destination of the Methane Rita Andrea.

With the latest shipment, Peru’s 4.4 mtpa liquefaction plant dispatched 339 cargoes in total, since it began operations in June 2010.
