U.S. offshore rig count flat for two weeks

The number of offshore rigs in the U.S. is stuck at 15 units for the second week in a row, according to Baker Hughes’ weekly rig count report on Friday.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. unchanged at 586 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is unchanged from last week at 586 with oil rigs unchanged at 480, gas unchanged at 106, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 0.

U.S. Rig Count is up 235 rigs from last year’s count of 351, with oil rigs up 213 gas rigs up 23 and miscellaneous rigs down 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 15, down 2 year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -43 to 90 rigs.

Canada Rig Count is down 43 from last week to 90, with oil rigs down 45 to 39, gas rigs up 2 to 51.

Canada Rig Count is up 31 rigs from last year’s count of 59, with oil rigs up 21, gas rigs up 10.
