Teekay’s LNG carriers boasting safety records

Teekay informed that two more of its LNG carriers recently achieved safety milestones.

The 2008 built Methane Spirit LNG carrier with the capacity of 165,500 cbm achieved 7 years without any lost time injury, the company informed. The vessel was built by Samsung Heavy Industry and is sailing under the flag of Singapore.

The company also informed that its 2007 built, 148,786 cbm, double hull LNG carrier Al Areesh performed for 8 years without any lost time injury. The carrier sailing under the flag of Bahamas has been built by South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.

Last week the company informed that the 135,243 cbm LNG carrier Madrid Spirit had also achieved 10 years without any Lost Time Injury.
