Iran’s gas production up by 100 MMcm/d

Iran’s president Hassan Rouhani has said that the country’s gas production has increased by 100 million cubic meters per day.

“With the startup of five phases of South Pars gas field, daily gas production is 100 million cubic meters higher than last calendar year,” Rouhani said.

He added that Iran’s natural gas production will see another jump of 100 MMcm/d by the next Iranian calendar year (starting March 21).

President Rouhani said Iran has made great strides in the energy sector by increasing its oil production from 2.7 million barrels a day last year to 2.9 million this year, and boosting its natural gas output by 100 MMcm/d in the same period.
