Finland’s Pemamek has delivered two PEMA production automation lines designed for foundation pin-pile production to CSBC Corporation in Taiwan.

The delivery included two extensive PEMA production automation lines that are designed to manufacture pin-piles for offshore jacket foundations. The lines have the capacity of processing pin-piles of up to 350 tons and 90 meters.

In addition to the machinery, the agreement includes training, production start-up support, preventive maintenance package, and local service support with authorized PEMA service partner.

Leo Chen, Executive Vice President, for CSBC Corporation, Taiwan, said: “We are glad to cooperate with experienced production solution provider for the wind energy sector. This investment will reinforce CSBC’s position as the key player in the Taiwanese offshore wind energy markets and support the company to take a major leap towards future goals.”

CSBC officially opened its pin-pile production facility in Kaohsiung earlier this week.

Manufacturing with the PEMA production lines has already started as CSBC will supply a number of foundation pin-piles for Ørsted’s 900MW Greater Changhua 1 and 2a offshore wind farm, scheduled for 2021.
